The Gerli Lab is dedicated to advance the frontiers of stem cell biology, prenatal medicine, and organoid technology to transform how we understand and treat human developmental disorders. Led by Doctor Mattia FM Gerli, the lab is part of the UCL Division of Surgery and Interventional Science and is located at the Zayed Centre for Research into Rare Disease in Children, a hub designed to integrate cutting-edge science with clinical expertise. Our lab brings together a diverse interdisciplinary team, committed to explore the remarkable potential of primary fetal stem cells to model human development, combining single cell biology technologies, 3D culture and fetal tissue research.
